Amy and Jamie

Amy and Jamie

I was contacted by Amy and Jamie in late 2016 about being their photographer on their wedding day. We spoke over the phone initially and as we went through the details of their wedding day, I became delighted by the prospect of a late summer Manchester wedding in the wonderful sounding Friezland church.......

Kevin and Amanda

I met Kevin and Amanda the year before in Manchester’s Castlefield area as they trusted me to take their engagement pictures, you can see all the photos from the shoot here.  Also.  on the 20th of May this year I had the pleasure of being their wedding photographer in Salford’s Media City, at a place called ‘On the 7th’. Although I had been to Media City many times, I had never seen this hip venue as it is hidden away in the 7th floor of one of the tallest buildings..........

Gregg and Emma

Gregg and Emma

After working hard with all the cool people I have met doing family photos in Manchester for a few months, I was looking forward to getting back to my main job as a wedding photographer.

Greg and Emma got married in the picturesque market town of Sandbach in leafy East Cheshire. The day started off with reports of rain for later in the day. When I arrived to photograph Emma and the girls it was starting to lightly rain although that didn’t dampen anyone's spirits. The bubbly Emma and equally fun bridesmaids were a joy to work with and after photographing the bridal preparation I raced down to catch Greg at the venue.

The ceremony took place in Sandbach Town Hall, a Victorian gothic hall which dates back to 1889 and has undergone refurbishment. It is such a stunning place, a perfect venue for a wedding........

James and Rose

James and Rose

A little late in blogging this wedding as I’ve been snowed under this year with weddings to photograph, and family photography; so I’ve just managed to blog this wedding.

James and Rose were married in the quaint Lancashire village of Croston on a rainy saturday afternoon. The wedding service was held in the grand St Michael’s Church and, happily for myself and the guests, the reception was just twenty steps away, in the old school hall.

The day started with James arriving in an old ‘Leyland Tiger’ bus from 1946, aptly named ‘Rosie’; hired from Cumbria Classic Coaches. After a few shots of James, we ran to avoid the torrential rain and found shelter in the church, then waited for the bride to arrive.......

So it’s that time of year again! This is the start of the wedding season for me after a short break where I have been practicing and developing my family photography skills; more details to follow ;) I’m now back to my bread and butter, to my main passion of being a wedding photographer.

Charlotte and Darren were married in Moss Lodge Hotel in Rochdale, a lovely small and intimate venue perfect for a winter wedding......

Best of 2016

Best of 2016

Another year has gone by and it's been a great one for me as a wedding photographer.  I've had the opportunity to work in lots of places too; from down South in Somerset to the Northwest in Wigan, Northwich, and then coming back to home turf to photograph Manchester weddings and engagements again. I’ve also assisted another wedding photographer, my good friend Dominika Kaminska. It is nice to work with another professional photographer to see different styles of working.

Going through all the thousands photos I have taken this year was great fun, and picking out my favourites allowed me to re-live some of the great moments I have witnessed first hand..........

Kev and Laurie

Kev and Laurie

My last wedding of 2016 was in the Holiday Inn in Haydock near Wigan, with the lovely Laurie and Kev.

The wedding took place all in one venue which made it easier for me as a wedding photographer. It's quite nerve wracking trying to get from one location to another before the bride on a wedding day.

It was a gorgeous bright autumn day with nice colourful orange leaves and strong light which looked great in the photos!

Andy and Rema

Andy and Rema

I had the pleasure of recently photographing Andy and Rema's wedding at the Britannia Country House Hotel in Didsbury.

The day started in the family home in Urmston where I arrived to photograph Andy and Max getting ready. It wasn't too long when the other guys arrived to help out and everyone was in high spirits. It was nice for a change to photograph the groom preparing for the big day......

Kevin and Amanda Engagement

Kevin and Amanda Engagement

It's always nice to photograph a couple in a place you know really well, and Castlefield is a place I love to go as a Photographer in Manchester. I always recommend people visiting Castlefield when they come to town, so I was over the moon when Kevin and Amanda told me they wanted their engagement shoot in Castlefield....

Paul and Gemma

Half way through the year! and the weddings keep coming. So far 2016 has been a great success, having the opportunity to photograph some fantastic weddings, and this one is one of my favourites.

Paul and Gemma were married in the lovely Cheshire village of Great Budworth in a sunny June afternoon. They had created a Alice in Wonderland inspired theme to the day, and fittingly everyone was smiling like a Cheshire cat at the end of the day....

Rob and Gemma

Rob and Gemma

I'm a bit late blogging this particular wedding, but please excuse me it gets quite busy for me during the wedding season! With weddings to photograph, editing, and just enjoying myself in the summer so far, the blogging has taken a bit of a back seat.

This beautiful wedding took place in between the lovely surroundings of Somerset and Devon, quite the opposite of rainy Manchester as I headed down south.....

Paul and Gemma Engagement Shoot

Paul and Gemma Engagement Shoot

Paul and Gemma contacted me last year to book their wedding, as part of the package was the engagement shoot. I love a good engagement shoot. Firstly to spend some more time with the couple before the big day, get to know their personality and what makes them tick. Also it gets them relaxed around the camera so things will flow more smoothly on the big day....

I’m pretty late blogging this wedding, after I have seen things on the other side of the lens being guest at my friends wedding in Poland. I have been pretty excited to get back home and start the editing process so I can share it with you.

Well I have to say Ordsall Hall has to be one of my new favourite wedding venues! I was booked by the lovely Dawn and Matt last year, and she told me how amazing the venue was, and I must say I can’t disagree.....

Vibeke & Sam

Vibeke & Sam

It was an absolute treat working on this wedding with the lovely family of Vibeke, Sam, Katinka and Joules. I really didn't have to work very hard to get some amazing emotional and funny shots from the four of them, I hope every wedding could be like this....
