Half way through the year! and the weddings keep coming. So far 2016 has been a great success, having the opportunity to photograph some fantastic weddings, and this one is one of my favourites.

Paul and Gemma were married in the lovely Cheshire village of Great Budworth in a sunny June afternoon. They had created a Alice in Wonderland inspired theme to the day, and fittingly everyone was smiling like a Cheshire cat at the end of the day.

We started the day at Gemma’s parents house in Northwich, the town where I grew up. It was nice to go back to my roots and photograph in a place I knew very well. From Northwich there was a short drive to Great Budworth for the afternoon church wedding. I couldn’t believe my luck as? the weather was perfect all afternoon, I had some special shots planned for the bride and groom after the ceremony.

The day progressed without a hitch, moving from Great Budworth to the reception at Wincham Hall where Gemma and Paul had created a wonderfully elaborate Alice in Wonderland themed reception with flamingos, Croquet, Jenga, and some fantastic decorations and a superb vintage wedding postbox bought from Four Little Letters. The bride and groom had booked the Magician Jason Rea, who added some amazing slight of hand magic tricks throughout the night. As we progressed onto the first dance it was nice to see most of the guests up and dancing, people really know how to enjoy themselves here! Congratulations Paul and Gemma!
