Rachel and Adam

Rachel and Adam are a wonderful couple who live in Bury. Rachel booked me as their wedding photographer at the beginning of 2017 so it was great to catch up with them in October to talk thoroughly about their plans for the big day.......

THE DIDSBURY PARSONAGE TRUST

Angela and Simon decided to get get married at Didsbury’s Parsonage Trust in South Manchester as they are in love with this historic building and the stunning Fletcher Moss garden that surrounds it.

Dated from 1650, The Parsonage Trust has transform the picturesque site into a blooming community hub where exhibitions, classes and other events take place regularly.

THE MORNING

The ceremony was held in one of the historic rooms, featuring a large gorgeous window that brought the views of the gardens to the wooden interiors.

Simon was the first of the couple to arrive, and waited for the soon bride to be while greeting the guests. There wasn’t a large group of wedding guests but they were well travelled; Angela's dad came from London as the rest of her family traveled all the way from North America to accompany the couple in their big day.........

Diane and Mike

Diane and Mike

Diane from Salford, Mike from St Helen's, their love of the seaside draws them to Blackpool every year for a holiday. They also like to plan a wedding a little differently; during our first meeting  they told me that they had decided to get married after falling in love with The Wedding Chapel in Blackpool while on one of their short holidays. Who can blame them? You can see in the pictures what a gorgeous venue it is!

Kevin and Amanda

I met Kevin and Amanda the year before in Manchester’s Castlefield area as they trusted me to take their engagement pictures, you can see all the photos from the shoot here.  Also.  on the 20th of May this year I had the pleasure of being their wedding photographer in Salford’s Media City, at a place called ‘On the 7th’. Although I had been to Media City many times, I had never seen this hip venue as it is hidden away in the 7th floor of one of the tallest buildings..........

Gregg and Emma

Gregg and Emma

After working hard with all the cool people I have met doing family photos in Manchester for a few months, I was looking forward to getting back to my main job as a wedding photographer.

Greg and Emma got married in the picturesque market town of Sandbach in leafy East Cheshire. The day started off with reports of rain for later in the day. When I arrived to photograph Emma and the girls it was starting to lightly rain although that didn’t dampen anyone's spirits. The bubbly Emma and equally fun bridesmaids were a joy to work with and after photographing the bridal preparation I raced down to catch Greg at the venue.

The ceremony took place in Sandbach Town Hall, a Victorian gothic hall which dates back to 1889 and has undergone refurbishment. It is such a stunning place, a perfect venue for a wedding........

James and Rose

James and Rose

A little late in blogging this wedding as I’ve been snowed under this year with weddings to photograph, and family photography; so I’ve just managed to blog this wedding.

James and Rose were married in the quaint Lancashire village of Croston on a rainy saturday afternoon. The wedding service was held in the grand St Michael’s Church and, happily for myself and the guests, the reception was just twenty steps away, in the old school hall.

The day started with James arriving in an old ‘Leyland Tiger’ bus from 1946, aptly named ‘Rosie’; hired from Cumbria Classic Coaches. After a few shots of James, we ran to avoid the torrential rain and found shelter in the church, then waited for the bride to arrive.......

Charlotte and Darren

So it’s that time of year again! This is the start of the wedding season for me after a short break where I have been practicing and developing my family photography skills; more details to follow ;) I’m now back to my bread and butter, to my main passion of being a wedding photographer.

Charlotte and Darren were married in Moss Lodge Hotel in Rochdale, a lovely small and intimate venue perfect for a winter wedding......

Kev and Laurie

Kev and Laurie

My last wedding of 2016 was in the Holiday Inn in Haydock near Wigan, with the lovely Laurie and Kev.

The wedding took place all in one venue which made it easier for me as a wedding photographer. It's quite nerve wracking trying to get from one location to another before the bride on a wedding day.

It was a gorgeous bright autumn day with nice colourful orange leaves and strong light which looked great in the photos!

Andy and Rema

Andy and Rema

I had the pleasure of recently photographing Andy and Rema's wedding at the Britannia Country House Hotel in Didsbury.

The day started in the family home in Urmston where I arrived to photograph Andy and Max getting ready. It wasn't too long when the other guys arrived to help out and everyone was in high spirits. It was nice for a change to photograph the groom preparing for the big day......
